Regional Water Quality Control Board & CCS' Green Solution Projects-of-the-Year Awards 2010 Recipients: City of LA's South LA Wetlands Park & L.A. County Flood Control District and Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority's Tujunga Wash Greenway.

GREEN SOLUTION PROJECT
SOLVING OUR WATER QUALITY PROBLEMS WHILE RESTORING PAVED, URBANIZED AREAS TO GREEN OPEN SPACE

In keeping with the CCS mission of solving complex problems involving people and nature to provide permanent public benefits, CCS has released its report on The Green Solution, which presents practical, green solutions to the serious water quality, public health and environmental problems caused by polluted stormwater and urban runoff. The Green Solution Project Report is the result of two years of research and in-depth analysis, and was developed by CCS in collaboration with a team of skilled experts.

DEVELOPING NEW FUNDING TO IMPROVE WATER QUALITY

CCS has released its report on solutions to the serious water quality, public health and environmental problems caused by polluted urban and stormwater runoff. The Water Quality Improvement Project Report is the result of two years of research and analysis, and was developed by CCS in collaboration with a team of skilled experts. The report evaluates the potential for creating new, long-term regional funding for critically-needed water quality improvement projects in L.A. County to clean up polluted runoff.
